ASSOCHAM, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India, is organising the India Pavilion at the 5th Nepal Agritech 2023, which will be held from February 10 to 12, 2023 at the Chitwan Expo Center in Bharatpur, Nepal. This is Nepal's largest agricultural, farm machinery, dairy, poultry, livestock, farm equipment, and technology exhibition.
More than 80% of the Nepalese population works in agriculture, which accounts for 41% of their GDP. Nepal is endowed with agro-biodiversity, but agricultural production has been insufficient due to the use of traditional practises.
The main challenge in Nepal is to improve the agricultural sector's competitiveness. This presents a significant opportunity for Indian Agritech companies to expand their operations in Nepal in a variety of agritech fields.
