Wrinkles are lines and creases that form on our skin. They are especially noticeable around our eyes, forehead, mouth, and neck. Usually, wrinkles are a part of the natural process of ageing. This is because as we grow older, our skin naturally becomes less elastic. This along with decrease in the production of natural oils forms wrinkles.

Other than ageing, wrinkles can also be caused by smoking and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light. Exposure to UV light and smoking accelerates the normal ageing process, smoking even affects the production of collagen in our skin, a protein that keeps the skin tight. Premature wrinkling is prevented by moisturizing skin properly, eating healthy food, not smoking, and applying a healthy layer of sunscreen.

Let us take a look at home remedies to reduce wrinkles.

Argan oil face mask- Argan oil is loaded with vitamin E, fatty acids, and antioxidant compounds. Applying 2 to 3 drops of argan oil on the skin moisturizes delicate skin cells and helps them retain their elasticity. It also helps reduce skin puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.

Vitamin C can be added to your diet in the form of almonds, lemons, blueberries, kiwis, oranges, tomatoes, kale, broccoli, and strawberries. Other than vitamin C, foods that are rich in vitamins E and A must be included in your diet as well because they not only maintain collagen levels but also protect the skin from the harmful damage caused by the sun and improve blood circulation.
