Garuda Aerospace Plans to Manufacture 6 Lakh Drones by 2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated Garuda Aerospace's Kisan Drone manufacturing plants in Gurgaon and Chennai. The Prime Minister also waved off the Kisan Drone Yathra, which saw 100 drones take off simultaneously across 100 Indian villages as part of the launch.

Drone startup based in Chennai Under its Kisan Drone programme, Garuda Aerospace has vowed to produce 6 lakh drones and create 6 lakh employment by 2025. This will provide technologies and solutions for spraying insecticides, pesticides, and fertilizers to farmers.

According to a firm news release, this will help people avoid life-threatening medical problems and diseases.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated Garuda Aerospace's Kisan Drone manufacturing plants in Gurgaon and Chennai. The Prime Minister also waved off the Kisan Drone Yathra, which saw 100 drones take off simultaneously across 100 Indian villages as part of the launch.

"Glad to have witnessed Kisan Drones in action at 100 locations across the country," the Prime Minister said in a tweet. “This is a wonderful initiative by @garuda india, a vibrant start-up. Innovative technology will empower our farmers and increase the profitability of agriculture."

‘Drone as a Service’ Model

Garuda Aerospace's low-cost drone-based solutions are backed by hardware, software, and analytical tools that will help the agriculture industry enhance efficiency and cut costs.

Farmers can save up to 80% on water and 90% on pesticides by using Garuda Aerospace's 'Drone as a Service' concept, which takes less time to cover big farming areas. It has also been found that using Kisan Drones has resulted in a 60% boost in agricultural yield and a 20% reduction in crop loss, thanks to higher precision levels of roughly 75%.

The Kisan Drone is equipped with AI, machine learning, and GPS sensors to provide farmers with accurate and real-time information about their fields and crops. According to the press announcement, it can also assist farmers with surveillance and mapping systems.
