Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, big organizations and companies are coming forward to aid the government in giving out possible relief measures to the best of their potential. One of India’s leading automobile companies, Hero MotoCorp has also joined the bandwagon and has pledged to provide relief-efforts for those who are vulnerable.

The company has stepped in to help the government in the relief measures and has started producing sanitizers in their manufacturing plants. These sanitizers will be distributed to the authorities and the underprivileged section of the society. The company has also intimated that more than 5000 liters of sanitizers and 400,000 protective face masks have already been distributed.

Apart from it, the company has also donated 60 first-responder mobile ambulances to authorities to assist the initiatives towards the COVID-19 relief efforts. The mobile ambulances are available for reaching out to patients remote areas, especially in the rural areas and transport them safely to the nearest hospitals.

Earlier, the Hero Group had pledged to donate Rs 100 crore towards the relief efforts. The company has already donated half of the total sum, i.e., Rs 50 crores to the PM Cares Fund, while the other half of the amount is being used in the manufacturing of the sanitizers and protective face masks. Hero MotoCorp has been an active member of the contribution to the relief-efforts among the other members of the Hero Group.
