IG International, one of India’s leading fresh fruit importers, has recently announced that they have collaborated with Fyllo, an AI & ML, IoT driven SAAS based Precision Agriculture Company that is harnessing the potential of technology to make horticulture profitable and sustainable.
The objective of this resourceful alliance is to achieve the ultimate potential of increasing the productivity of Fruit crops and reducing the cost of cultivation to ensure farm profitability while rationalizing the usage of Pesticides and saving huge quantities of water used for irrigation.
The association would enable working in multiple fruit crops like Grapes, Pomegranates, Apples, Kiwi, Blueberry, Cherries, Avocado, Dragon Fruits, etc. The association also envisages expanding its operations globally by bringing in synergies and leveraging the strengths and presence of IG International’s operations across the globe.
The alliance would necessitate Fyllo facilitating the integration of all corporate farms of IG International across the country with the latest technology called Nero, which is a pioneering soil analysis and irrigation management device. This would lead IG International to move towards a data-driven and real-time approach with the help of Fyllo in cultivating supreme batches of fruits in the future.
Fyllo is a data-driven agri-science platform that brings certainty to the quality and quantity of agricultural produce. The platform fabricates real-time farm data and insights, which eventually help the farmers/growers make precise decisions and increase productivity. The latest Nero technology capacitates an immediate improvement in the quality of produce, efficiency in production cost and promises a gift of greater yield. Fyllo has saved more than 10 billion liters of water and reduced pesticide and fertilizer usage by 30%. More than 85% of Fyllo-managed farms produce export-quality produce and are in accordance with Global GAP practices.
