It was a day to reckon for Krishi Jagran, as the content department of this largest agricultural media house got its new office on July 2. Content is king or queen. MC Dominic, Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World knows this and that's why he decided to have a new office exclusively for the content team. The inaugural ceremony saw the elite presence of Vinod Kumar Gaur, Chairman and Managing Director of National Seeds Corporation (NSC).

Hatsun Agro Product Ltd has introduced ‘Arokya’ Paneer, a new addition to its wide dairy product portfolio. Arokya Paneer will meet the growing preference among consumers for natural and fresh Paneer made in the traditional process using lemon. ‘Arokya’ Paneer will be launched in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Maharashtra and Puducherry.

Krishi Jagran inaugurates new office on July 2, exclusively for their content team

In the presence of Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World MC Dominic and Director Shiny Dominic , the CMD of National Seed Corporation, Vinod Kumar Gaur gracefully inaugurated the new premises of the content team of Krishi Jagran. The event also featured award ceremony for top performers of Krishi Jagran and Covid Warriors, employees who came to office regularly during lockdown.

Bayer opens application window for Grants4Ag sustainability-focused program

Bayer announced, on July 1, the opening of its application window for the company’s annual Grants4Ag initiative. For more than five years, the agricultural leader has offered researchers both financial and scientific support to develop their ideas for novel solutions to research and development challenges in agriculture. Open Innovation Lead for the Crop Science division at Bayer, Phil Taylor said “Our 2020 Grants4Ag program exceeded our expectations in attracting top proposals across a range of R&D activities”.

SEA feels consumers may not get much benefit of duty reduction on CPO

The Solvent Extractors’ Association of India has said that the consumer may not be benefited with the reduction in import duty on crude palm oil (CPO) as there was an increase in palm oil prices in Malaysia and Indonesia. This is due to increase in palm oil prices in Malasia and Indonesia.

USFDA and CDC ask AFFPAL to recall some cooked shrimp products

The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), have asked the Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Avanti Feeds Limited , to recall some of the cooked shrimp products supplied by it. There were six reports of Salmonella-related illness associated with these cooked shrimps distribution.

Tea Board announces the average price for green leaf

In the wake of falling prices at the tea auctions, the Tea Board in the Commerce Ministry has announced that the average price for green leaf procured from small growers in The Nilgiris district during July will be ₹16.74 a kg. This is just 24 paise more than the price fixed for July last year.

Cargill and HELM partner to build $300M commercial-scale

Cargill and HELM are entering into a joint venture, to help leading brands replace fossil-based chemistries with bio-based intermediates, enabling them to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. As part of the agreement, both companies are investing a combined $300M to build the first commercial-scale, renewable BDO facility in the U.S.
