Govt. Launches mobile app "Matsya Setu" for Aqua farmers
Union Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Giriraj Singh lauched mobile app 'Matsya Setu" to disseminate freshwater aquaculture technologies to aqua farmers. He said “the app will be surely helpful for the farmers to learn the advancements in the technologies and better management practices.” App is developed by ICAR- Central institute of freshwater aquaculture with funding support from National Fisheries development Board.

Area under Kharif soybean cultivation likely to increase 5-7% across India
The area under soybean planting is likely to increase by 5-7% across India this kharif season .D N Pathak, executive director, Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) said that the area under cultivation increase subject to the fact it rains in the next five to six days. Farmers have prepared their own seeds and there is no real seed shortage in the market.

India Glycols Limited, manufacturer of chemicals, and Clariant International, formed joint venture for renewable ethylene oxide (EO). The joint venture will be named Clariant IGL Specialty Chemicals Private Limited. The venture combines India Glycols's renewable bio-ethylene oxide derivatives business with specialties business in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
