WayCool's Fresh Produce Processing Unit Receives ISO 22000:2018 Certification

WayCool sources fresh produce from farmers and delivers it to industries such as e-commerce platforms, food services, and large retail chains. TUV SUD South Asia Pvt Ltd certified WayCool, a food and agritech company, with ISO 22000:2018 (FSMS). TUV SUD South Asia audited & certified WayCool's food safety management systems for its fresh produce processing unit in Chennai to ISO 22000:2018 standards, according to a statement.

The certification body conducted a two-stage audit at WayCool's Virugambakkam distribution centre for whole fruit and vegetable processing (sorting and grading) and packing. WayCool's Chennai distribution centre is now one of only a few with ISO certification, according to the company.

It also validates our world-class food safety and management system, ensuring safer food and better health for its customers. This journey is unstoppable, and we will continue to improve food safety management systems across our distribution centres, establishing a very high quality and food safety management benchmark in FY23. Our next goal is to achieve GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized certification for business units in order to keep customers happy with safer food and high-quality food products, as per the COO of WayCool Foods.
