Qualifications and Eligibility

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a university in India recognized under a Central, State, or Provincial Act, or by an institution acknowledged by the University Grants Commission.
Alternatively, they should hold an equivalent qualification in one of the specified subjects, including Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications/Computer Science, Engineering (in various disciplines), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, or Zoology.

Physical Requirement

For Men: Height should be no less than 163 cm, with a chest circumference of 79 cm on expiration and an expansion of at least 5 cm on full inspiration. They should also be able to walk 25 km in four hours.
For Women: Height should be no less than 150 cm, with a chest circumference of 74 cm on expiration and an expansion of at least 5 cm on full inspiration. They should be able to walk 16 km in four hours.
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and certain races, adjusted height requirements apply 152 cm for men and 145 cm for women.

Note: Candidates must undergo a medical examination by the Medical Board in Rajamahendravaram. They must provide a health certificate affirming sound hearing, fitness for outdoor work in the Forest Department, and evidence of successful vaccination. These standards are outlined in G.O.Ms.No.159, Environment, Forests, Science & Technology (For-V) Department, dated: 08/12/2008.

Age Limit: Candidates should be in the age group of 18-30 years as of 01/07/2024.

Monthly Remuneration

Rs. 48,440/- – 1,37,220/-

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected for the post based on merit in the Main Written Examination followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Application Procedure

Interested candidates must log in to the Commission’s website at https://psc.ap.gov.in. using their registered OTPR number.
If applying for the first time, they need to carefully fill out the OTPR application to obtain an OTPR ID.
After logging in, candidates can click on "Online Application Submission" and select the notification number they wish to apply for. They should ensure all details are correct before submitting.
It's important to note that changes made to OTPR data later won't be considered for the current notification.
Applicants must pay Rs. 250/- for application processing and Rs. 120/- for the examination fee.
However, SC, ST, BC, Ex-Servicemen, and certain other categories are exempt from the examination fee of Rs. 120/-.
Unemployed youth from Andhra Pradesh should submit a declaration to the Commission as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser-A) Dept., dated: 18/10/1996. Candidates from other states must pay both the processing fee and examination fee to be considered for the application.
