The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is preparing to launch a law internship program. Internships will be available for Indian law students from various law schools through this program. A total of 30 interns will be selected and the selected candidates will be assigned to CBI offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Bangalore. The internship will last between three to six months.
Vacancy Details
CBI may select up to 30 interns for positions in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Bangalore.
Internship Duration
The period of Internship shall be for a period of 3 months to 6 months.
Eligibility Criteria
The interested candidate must be an Indian citizen. The candidate must be a law student enrolled in a reputable law university who has completed their graduation course in English. The candidate must be enrolled in a 5-year integrated LLB program and have completed at least 4 years of the program.
Conditions for Recruitment
- This is not a paid internship.
- Interns will be responsible for making their travel and accommodation arrangements.
- CBI will not be obligated to provide the Interns with any medical or other facilities.
- The internship does not guarantee future employment at the CBI.
- Interns will be allowed to assist CBI law and investigating officers in researching court judgments on specific areas, preparing court applications and replies, presenting evidence and examining witnesses in court, trial work, data collection, and any other work assigned by senior officers, thereby providing them with the necessary practical exposure.
- Interns will be required to sign an "Oath of Secrecy" upon their arrival, which will bind their conduct during the internship and thereafter.
Steps to Apply
Candidates who are interested and qualified must submit their original applications, a detailed bio-data in the prescribed Pro-forma (Annexure-A), and a 150-word SOP explaining why they want to participate in the internship.
This application is to be sent to the Superintendent of Police (Training), CBI Academy, Hapur Road, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh – 201002 on or before 16.06.2022.
