Junior Research Fellow Position Details
The available position is for a Junior Research Fellow, offering a monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- along with 27% HRA for the first and second years, in accordance with the revised emoluments for JRF effective from 01/01/2023.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold an M.Sc./M.Tech with specializations in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Dairy Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Science and Technology, Food Science and Nutrition, Biochemistry, or allied disciplines. Furthermore, they should be NET/GATE qualified. Desirable qualifications include the publication of at least one research paper with an NAAS rating >6.0 and experience in novel product development, as well as biochemical techniques.
Age Limit and Application Process
The age limit for JRF is set at 35 years, with a relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates as per government guidelines. Interested candidates should report to the Division of Food Science and Post Harvest Technology, ICAR-IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi 110 012, on the specified date. Interviews will be conducted individually, and the time slots will be allocated after verifying the certificates.
Duration of Appointment
It's essential to note that these positions are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially for one year or the project duration, whichever is earlier. There's potential for extension on a yearly basis contingent upon the satisfactory performance of the incumbent until the termination of the scheme/project.
