ICFRE Recruitment 2022-23: Eligibility and Educational qualification
Officers/Scientists of the Central/State/Universities/Recognized Governments Research Institutes, Semi-Government Organizations, and Autonomous Organizations working in pay scales at Level 15 of the Pay Matrix of the Seventh CPC or equivalent grades; however, the competent authority can grant an exception in cases where the age of superannuation has been raised by the Government of India, State Governments, Autonomous Bodies, or Government Undertakings;
(I) For scientists:
A first-class postgraduate degree in agriculture, botany, or forestry or, First Class Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from an accredited university, other relevant sciences, or the equivalent.
(II) Indian Forest Service Members:
An Indian Forest Service officer working at the level of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests or some equivalent position in a State with 30 years of experience in the government and U.T. service with relation to the allocation year.
Age limit:
Age shouldn’t be above and should not be older than 57 on September 30, 2023 (i.e., born on or after October 1, 1996).
Job Requirement:
(i) Proper administration of the affairs and funds of the Society;
(ii) Prescribing the duties of all employees of the Council.
(iii) Exercising supervision and disciplinary control over the work and conduct of all employees of the Council.
(iv) Coordinating and exercising general supervision over all research activities in the sphere of forests and forest products, research and forest education; and
(v) Advising the Govt. of India, State Governments and the administration of Union Territories on all matters connected with forestry research and education referred to him.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected on the basis of application.

The candidates will be given a Pay level 17 of the 7th CPC Pay matrix

- Application in prescribed proforma as given in Annexure-I should be sent neatly typed on A-4 size paper, with a recent passport size photograph duly self-signed and pasted and accompanied by crossed Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) as non-refundable fee drawn in favour of the Accounts Officer, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, P.O. New Forest, Dehra Dun. There will be no fee for SC/ST candidates.
- Self-attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, experience, and claim for belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST).
Terms and conditions:
The terms of appointment of the Director General, ICFRE will normally be for a period of 3 years or till the age of superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier and as per guidelines of the Government of India.
