Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Research Associates (RAs) at ICAR-CIRB, Hisar, Haryana

ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (CIRB) in Hisar, Haryana, is inviting candidates for a walk-in interview for two position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and two positions of  Research Associates (RAs) under the BMGF project, “Climate Smart Buffalo Farming,” purely on a contractual basis. Here are the details: 

Position Overview 

Qualifications  and Eligibility

Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Animal Physiology and Reproduction Division

• A Master's degree in Biochemistry, Animal Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agricultural Chemistry, Zoology, Dairy Chemistry, or Life Science, with a 4-year/5-year Bachelor's degree. 

• Candidates with a postgraduate degree in basic sciences, holding a 3-year Bachelor's degree and a 2-year Master's degree, must have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience. 

• Experience in analytical chemistry is also required.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Animal Nutrition & Feed Technology Division

• A Master's degree in Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management (LPM), Animal Physiology or Veterinary Physiology, or Life Science with a 4-year/5-year Bachelor's degree is required. 

• Candidates with a postgraduate degree in basic sciences, holding a 3-year Bachelor's degree and a 2-year Master's degree, must have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience. 

• Experience in animal feeding experiments, methane emissions measurements, and data analysis is essential.

Research Associates (RAs), Animal Physiology and Reproduction Division

• PhD degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is required. Alternatively, candidates can possess a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with a 4/5 year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, achieving a first division or 60% equivalent. 

• Minimum of three years of research experience, demonstrated through fellowship, associateship training, and at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NASS rated (≥ 4.0) journal is required. 

• Candidates should also have experience in electrochemical sensor development, chemical characterization, and biomolecule binding studies.

Research Associates (RAs), Animal Genetics & Breeding

• PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is required.

• Candidates can possess a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with a 4/5 year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, achieving a first division or 60% equivalent. 

• Minimum of three years of research experience, demonstrated through fellowship, associateship, training, and at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NASS rated (≥ 4.0) journal is required. 

• Experience in machine learning, algorithm development, and deep data analysis.

Age limit: Maximum age limit for a female candidate is 45 years and for a male candidate is 40 years.

Monthly Remuneration 

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 31,000/-

• Research Associate (RA): Rs 54,000/-

Selection Procedure
