7th Pay Commission: Salary of Central Govt. Employees to Increase by Rs 7500 This Diwali

The Union Cabinet has approved this, and the salary will increase once again. More than 1 crore central employees & pensioners will get its benefits.

Dearness Allowance (DA) To Get 31%

The All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AI CPI 0- IW) has increased to 123 in August 2021. September figures are due. But, based on data for the month of June, July & August, the dearness allowance (DA Hike) has been increased.

Salary To Increase By Rs 7500 at Cabinet Secretary Level

  • According to JCM Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra, this great news is for the central government employees.

  • This gift will be of great benefit to them before Diwali Festival. For an employee, whose basic salary is Rs 30,000 per month, and then his salary will increase by Rs 900 per month.

  • He will get a profit of Rs 10,800 The salary of cabinet secretary-level officers will increase by Rs 7500 per month.

  • The basic salary at this rank is the highest at Rs 2.5 lakh per month. In such a situation, they will get a benefit of 90,000 annually.

Dearness Allowance (DA) Formula

The percentage of Dearness Allowance = Average of the CPI for the last 12 months – 115.76. Now the amount which comes will be divided by 115.76. And the score that will come will be multiplied by 100.

What is Dearness Allowance

  • This money is given to the government employees to improve their cost of living.

  • The money is given so that even after the rising inflation, there is no difference in the standard of living of employees.

  • This money is given to the government employees, public sector & pensioners. It was started during the Second World War.

  • At that time, this money was given to soldiers apart from salary for the purpose of food & other facilities.

  • During that time, it was called Food Dearness Allowance or Dearness Food Allowance. Dearness Allowance was first introduced in India in the year 1972 from Mumbai.

  • After this, the Central Government started giving the dearness allowance to all government employees.
