Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam Inaugurated By PM Modi in Delhi At Bharat Mandapam

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam. He also released the first installment of funds for the PM SHRI Scheme.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam, a joint effort by the Ministries of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, coinciding with the 3rd anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020.

During the event, he also released the first installment of funds for the PM SHRI Scheme, benefiting 6207 schools with 630 crore Rupees, and unveiled education and skill curriculum books in 12 Indian languages. The Prime Minister emphasized education's pivotal role in shaping the nation's destiny and highlighted the event's symbolic significance, showcasing the amalgamation of ancient and modern educational values. He stressed the importance of regional languages in education and its role in creating an innovative generation for the future.

The NEP aims to ensure equitable and high-quality education, positioning India as a global leader in the field. Several MoUs were also signed during the two-day program, fostering collaboration in higher education, school education, and skilling. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled a series of books related to the ten major projects of the Central Institute for Classical Tamil (CICT).

During the celebrations, a notable attraction was an exhibition that showcased top initiatives from the domains of school and higher education and the skill ecosystem. This multimedia exhibition comprised 200 stalls representing institutions, organizations, industry players, and key stakeholders in education and skill development. Among the exhibitors were Indian Knowledge Systems, Idea Labs, start-ups, and state universities, among others. The exhibition is anticipated to draw over 2 lakh attendees, including students, youth volunteers, and participants of Yuva Sangam, across the two-day event.

The two-day program will culminate with a valedictory session on July 30, 2023, graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Minister.
