Alert! UPSC Prelims 2019 Today; Check Last Minute Tips for Candidates, Important Dos & Don’ts

It is to be noted that, the exam is important of all the exams conducted by UPSC and is held to fill IAS, IFS, IPS and other important posts in the various department of the Central Government.

Last Minute Tips for the candidates appearing in UPSC CSE Prelims 2019:

Be on Right Time:

Candidates must be sharp with the timing. The entry into the Examination Venue will be closed 10 minutes before the schedule commencement of the Examination i.e. 09:20 AM for the Forenoon Session and 02:20 PM for the Afternoon Session. 

Important Documents to Carry:

Candidates must carry the admit card issued by the UPSC with the certain documents mentioned on it. They shall bring the e-Admit Card (print out) along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. 

Fill OMR Sheet Carefully:

Candidates should note that any omission/ mistake/ discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection. 

Go through the Special Instructions:

It is important for the candidates to go through the special instructions given by the organization. Read the ‘Special Instructions for candidates admitted to the Examination’ given in the ‘Rules for the Examination’ available in Examination Notice and the ‘Poster’ containing instructions displayed outside the Examination Venue.

Carry Additional Photographs:

Candidates whose photograph is not clear or visible in the e-admit card or his/her signature appear in place of the photograph, are required to carry additional photographs with them. They will be allowed to appear for the exam along with photo ID card after giving an undertaking which is available with the examination functionaries at the exam centre.

Avoid These Things During Exam:

1. Candidates must not possess or use mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any other electronic equipment, storage media like pen drive, smart watches etc.

2. Camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories be it in working or switched off mode are to be avoided during examination.
