Furthermore, Reddy inaugurated the state-of-the-art laboratory, which is the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh. Minister Reddy expressed his satisfaction with the support provided by the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government, stating that farmers are pleased with the initiatives taken by the government.

The Rs 2.50 crore facility would go a long way towards enabling farmers to use microorganisms to boost agriculture output. Farmers would have access to a variety of organic fertilizers, including bacterium and fungi-based formulations. He explained that such a centre would be established in each district to assist growers in protecting the soil, water, and air while still reaping profits.

He emphasized the importance of abandoning the practice of indiscriminately applying artificial fertilizers and pesticides, which has proven to be a curse for farmers. Plant doctors would assist farmers in lowering cultivation costs and implementing optimum agronomic practices, he said.

He also stated that the YSRCP would soon establish 147 agri-labs in rural constituencies across the state to provide farmers with quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides. He stated that soil conditions would be analysed to help farmers grow the correct crop in the proper soil.

The State government provided farmers with quality farm inputs through the 10,778 Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs), he said, adding that 3,000 RBKs now had their own structures.

In the case of 4,000 additional RBKs, building construction was nearing completion. He stated that 3,000 positions for Village Agriculture Assistants would be filled soon.
