Bypass Fat and Jackfruit Processing Machineries to Tribal Farmers

For improving the livelihood of tribal and agricultural farmers through their research and extension services a Programme was organized at ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa.

 A group of twenty five tribal farmers from Cuncoliem, Priol, and Veling of North Goa received 1000 kg bypass fat material (each farmer received 25kg). Shree Kamakshi Self-help group from Cuncoliem, Mardol comprising of 10 women tribal farmers received a set of Jackfruit processing machineries.

A programme to distribute bypass fat and Jackfruit processing machineries to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan Programme was organized at ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa.

Shri Narendra Keshav Sawaikar, Member of Parliament from South Goa was Chief Guest of the event. He appreciated the efforts of ICAR-CCARI for improving the livelihood of tribal and agricultural farmers through their research and extension services.

Shri. Govind Gaude Minister for Tribal Welfare, Government of Goa, Guest of honour, appealed the tribal farmers to avail the maximum benefits offered by ICAR-CCARI.

Dr. E. B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CCARI briefed about the research and extension activities of the institute and also delivered the technical details and use of bypass fat.
