Congress MPs Protest outside Parliament, Sell Potatoes to Raise Farmers’ Plight

Several Congress MPs in Punjab protested outside the Parliament premises on 4th January, selling potatoes to raise issues relating to farmers in the state.

The Congress MPs, including Gurjeet Singh Aujla and Sunil Jakhar also raised slogans against the Modi-led-BJP government for ignoring the troubles of farmers in Punjab.

Jakhar claimed that the central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not ready to listen to the grievances of the cultivators and are only concerned about big business entrepreneurs like Gautam Adani and Anil Ambani.
