Free Laptop Yojana: 1 Lakh Students In Lucknow Will Receive a Free Smartphone And Tablet

The first phase of the UP Free Laptop Yojana has begun. At the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Bajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, CM Yogi will hand out free smartphones and tablets to one lakh students.

The Yogi government's free laptop and smartphone scheme 2021 will begin today, ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will deliver free smartphones and tablets to final-year students of various courses. Lakhs of students from several cities will receive free smartphones and tablets today, as part of the scheme's initial phase. The primary goal of this programme is to provide technical training to students.

CM Yogi will offer free mobile phones and tablets to students of various professional courses who pass school at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Bajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow in the first phase of this scheme. This CM Yogi programme will bring together a huge number of students and girls from around the state. Under this initiative, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh hopes to deliver 1 crore smartphones and laptops to students.

Total Of 60,000 Mobiles And 40,000 Tablets To Be Distributed In The 1st Phase

According to the government statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has promised to provide one crore young people with free smart phones and tablets in exchange for technical training. The first phase of this will see 60 thousand mobile phones and 40 thousand tablets distributed today. According to the CMO, students in the last year of MA, BA, BSc, ITI, MBBS, MD, BTech, MTech, PhD, MSME, and skill development programmes will be given priority in the first phase.

Who Are Eligible For The Scheme

Only those who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh and have received 65 percent or more in class 10th and 12th can apply for this UP government scheme. Also keep in mind that the entire system is free, from registration to distribution of smartphones and tablets. You do not need to pay any money to accomplish this.

More than 38 lakh youth have registered on the Digi Shakti portal, according to Kumar Vineet, Special Secretary, IT and Electronics Department. The process of enrolling students is currently ongoing. He stated that the state government has placed orders for the delivery of mobile phones and tablets to well-known companies such as Lava, Samsung, and Acer. The unique aspect is that, in order to make the procurement process clear and fair, the GeM portal has issued the largest order to date.
