Genome Analysis with 10x Genomics Chromium Controller of Premas Life Sciences

The success of genetically improved organisms in enhancing farm productivity has explicitly underlined the impact of the science of Genetics. The science of Genetics will remain relevant to address the emerging challenges of food, health and nutritional security in the wake of the burgeoning world population projected to be 9.7 billion by 2050.

For sustaining and continuing the legacy of success, renewed emphasis is needed in the science of Genetics and allied fields to utilize the power of new technologies. Genetics has witnessed an era of innovations and discoveries during the last two decades which has created new tools offering immense opportunities to improve crops, livestock, fishes and microbes, and to manage hitherto intractable plant, human and animal ailments.

The application of artificial intelligence to analyze the vast amount of genomics and phenomics data is providing rare insights into the genetic basis of complex traits.

With the advent of the era of genomics, leveraging the latest technology to gain an edge in mining and interpreting information has become imperative. With our ensemble range of products, we facilitate to answer the vital questions of peoples research using some of the smartest tools from across the world.

Premas Life sciences endeavors to bring to researchers and innovation focused organisations cutting edge tools for applications across human health, agriculture, pharma, environment, forensics, energy and much more. With the advent of the era of genomics, leveraging the latest technology to gain an edge in mining and interpreting information has become imperative.

The iSeq 100 Sequencing System makes next-generation sequencing easier and more affordable than ever. Designed for simplicity, it allows labs of all sizes to sequence DNA and RNA at the push of a button.

Similarly the 10xGenomics is the latest from the company which is a Poer of massively Parallel Partitioning. It is basically the chromium controller having the ability to analyze DNA at the single cell level.

Dr Ajit Singh, Territory Sales Manager, Premas Life Sciences explained about the Partitioning for Genome Analysis that the single cells are first encapsulated in hydrogel cell beads (CBs), allowing the cells to be subjected to protein digestion and denaturation, while still retaining intact DNA in the hydrogel matrix. After the cells have been lysed, CBs containing DNA are partitioned with 10xbarcoded Gel Beads (GBs) to generate cell bead gel bead (CBGB) GEMs. DNA from single cells is barcoded within the CBGB partitions and the barcoaed fragments can be easily traced back to the cells from which they originated using downstream bioinformatics tools.
