Government Approves 4 Ambitious Programmes for Students & Youths

According to an official, the Jharkhand Cabinet has approved four comprehensive programmes to support youth and students in skill development and education.

The programmes include the Higher and Technical Education department's Mukhya Mantri Shiksha Prothsahan Yojana (MMSPY), Eklavya Prasikshan Yojana (EPY) and Guruji Student Credit Card Yojana (GSCCY), and Labour department's Mukhya Mantri Sarathi Yojana (MMSY).

As per the media reports, the cabinet secretary Vandana Dadel on Thursday said that President Droupadi Murmu will officially introduce these initiatives on Jharkhand's Foundation Day on November 15.

The four initiatives and 34 other topics were accepted at the cabinet meeting on Thursday, which was presided over by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Under the MMSPY, class 10 graduates will receive free instruction at nationally renowned schools in Jharkhand for the engineering, medicine, common law admission test, mass communication, fashion design, hotel management, and chartered accountancy entrance exams.

The department hopes to assist 8,000 kids under the programme each year. Soon, a thorough set of guidelines for choosing coaching programmes and students will be released.

Free job-oriented coaching will be offered through EPY for a variety of competitive examinations, including those for the Staff Selection Commission, Union Public Service Commission, Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Bank PO and Bank Clerk. The department's goal is to coach 2,700 pupils in a calendar year.

Rahul Purwar, Secretary of the Higher and Technical Education Department was seen speaking about the third program, called GSCCY, which is designed to help students who are chosen for higher education, engineering, medicine, and other fields financially.

Additionally, the cabinet authorized an increase in the dearness allowance for state government employees from 203% to 2123% in accordance with the sixth pay commission.

The building of a 3.5 km high-level bridge over the Swarnreka river from Sakchi to Mango and Azad Basti received approval from the cabinet for Rs 461 crore. In addition, the cabinet approved spending Rs 4.40 crore to build Ranchi's Palash Mart on Kanke Road.
