UAE hosted the I2U2's first vice-ministerial meeting in Abu Dhabi, which was attended by senior officials from the four countries as well as private sector representatives.

The I2U2 leadership discussed opportunities to advance multi-regional cooperation and investment opportunities to address some of the region's most pressing issues, including managing the energy crisis and food insecurity, according to a State Department statement.

"Public and private-sector representatives gathered to strategize on how to best promote prosperity across the region. Our commitment to overcoming collective challenges and deepening coordination with I2U2 remains a regional model to support investments and initiatives to improve sustainability and resilience in key sectors," it said.

The forum, hosted in Abu Dhabi by UAE Minister of State Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, was attended by Israel's Director General of Foreign Affairs Ronen Levi and India's Economic Relations Secretary Dammu Ravi, while the US delegation was led by Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W Fernandez.

"Our commitment to overcoming collective challenges and deepening coordination with I2U2 remains a regional model to support investments and initiatives to improve sustainability and resilience in key sectors," the State Department stated.

Through I2U2, the United States and partner countries continue to see tangible results from collaboration in areas such as food and water security, energy, space, transportation, health, and technology - including support for clean technology and the decarbonization industry, as exemplified by India's participation in the Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM4C) initiative, which brings the total number of partners to 43 governments and more than 275.
