IBPS PO 2019 Exam Notification Releasing Soon; Check Latest Update, Important Dates & Exam Pattern

IBPS PO notification 2019: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection also known as IBPS is expected to release the official notification of probationary officer (PO)/ MT recruitment exam 2019 by next week. In 2018, the IBPS PO notification was released in the first week of August. Registration for the preliminary exam for the PO post started on 14 August and continued till 4 September. The prelims were held in the month of October and Main Exam in November. To apply for the IBPS PO Exam, candidates will have to register online.

IBPS PO 2019 Exam Dates

Applicants who will qualify in the preliminary exam will then have to appear for the main examination that is tentatively scheduled to be held on 30th November. According to sources, the IBPS PO preliminary exam this year will be held on 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th October 2019.

Exam pattern of IBPS PO Preliminary Exam

The IBPS PO exam will have three sections – Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English language of total 100 marks. The duration of the exam is one hour.


English language - 30 questions of 30 marks

Quantitative aptitude - 35 questions of 35 marks

Reasoning ability - 35 questions of 35 marks

Exam pattern of IBPS PO Main Exam

The IBPS PO Main exam paper will consist of 5 sections - English Language, Essay & Letter Writing, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Banking Awareness and Reasoning & Computer Aptitude. Total 225 will be asked in the main exam and the time allotted is 210 minutes.
