ICAR NET 2019 Exam Postponed; Check New Date and Other Important Information Here

ICAR Exam 2019: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has postponed the date of National Eligibility Test (NET) to January 2020. The ICAR exam was supposed to be held from 9 December to 15 December 2019. ICAR NET exam, is conducted every year by the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board or ASRB to decide the eligibility for lectureship in state agricultural universities as well as other agricultural universities under the Council. The ICAR exam is held for 57 agriculture & allied disciplines.

ICAR Exam 2019: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has postponed the date of National Eligibility Test (NET) to January 2020. The ICAR exam was supposed to be held from 9 December to 15 December 2019. ICAR exam dates

According to the new schedule, the ICAR NET 2019 will now be held from 6 January to 10 January. And the admit cards for the ICAR exam will be released next month.

About ICAR Exam NET

The ICAR NET exam will be completely online i.e. computer based and for total 150 marks. ICAR exam will be held at 32 exam centres across the country. In order to qualify ICAR NET 2019, students will have to score minimum 75 percent marks. The passing or qualifying marks for candidates belonging to OBC category & SC/ ST/ Divyang categories are 67.5 percent and 60 percent, respectively. The question paper will be in two languages i.e. English & Hindi and the standard of question paper will be of Master's degree.

Also note that there is negative marking for every wrong answer hence candidates must be very careful while answering. If they have any doubt then it is better to leave that question. Candidates should also work on their speed.

NET is the only exam that Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board conducts on behalf of Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The responsibility of other exams of ICAR like All India Entrance Exam for Agriculture Admission for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) & PhD programmes have been given to the National Testing Agency or NTA from this year onwards.
