IFFCO, the world’s largest fertiliser cooperative, today announced the appointment of Mr. Yogendra Kumar as the new Marketing Director of IFFCO. He is replacing Mr. Arbinda Roy, who will be retiring after completing 31years at IFFCO. In his new role, Mr. Kumar will be responsible for spearheading IFFCO’s marketing initiatives to ensure best-of-class effectiveness and efficiency of IFFCO’s marketing initiatives.
Speaking on the new appointment, Dr. U.S. Awasthi, “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Yogendra Kumar in his new role and extend our full support to him in successfully executing his assignment. At the same time, we warmly thank Mr. Arbinda Roy who has been instrumental in implementing and spearheading the marketing department of IFFCO for the past 31 years and wishing him success in all his future endeavors.”
Mr. Yogendra Kumar holds a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. Mr. Kumar is known for his dynamism and enthusiasm and the same is reflected in his work as well. He has been instrumental in the development of Sagarika, an organic product which is very useful in increasing the productivity of crops. During his 36 yearlong insightful journey with IFFCO, Mr. Kumar has made significant contribution in promotion of Neem with an aim of increasing the production of Neem oil and various other useful Neem based products.
Talking on his appointment, Mr. Yogendra Kumar said, “I am honored and very delighted to be promoted as the Marketing Director of IFFCO. As always, I have great expectations and huge goals to achieve for our organization. My main aim is to create value for our dear farmers and focus on agricultural driven initiatives which will directly have a positive impact on them.”
Mr. Yogendra Kumar has also represented IFFCO at various National and International Platforms including IFA & ICA and has been actively involved in IFFCO’s future strategies, planning and establishing new joint ventures. Mr. Kumar was also responsible for a nationwide tour for Dr. U.S. Awasthi to meet and connect with farmers and co-operators. Based out of Delhi, Mr. Kumar will report to Dr. U.S. Awasthi, Managing Director, IFFCO.
