Jivani-Sanjivani Pineapple Challenge in Kerala to help Corona Hit farmers

The Association of Agriculture Officers along with the Pineapple farmer association in Kerala in Kerala launches the Pineapple challenge a people’s movement in Kerala to buy pineapples directly from the farmers. It is the season of Pineapple harvesting and this is in a bid to save the pineapple farmers from having huge losses. This challenge they say will be spread to all districts in the State. Within two days of its launch 51 tonnes of Pineapple was sold in Ernakulam district.

The Association of Agriculture Officers along with the Pineapple farmer association in Kerala in Kerala launches the Pineapple challenge a people’s movement in Kerala to buy pineapples directly from the farmers. It is the season of Pineapple harvesting and this is in a bid to save the pineapple farmers from having huge losses. This challenge they say will be spread to all districts in the State. Within two days of its launch 51 tonnes of Pineapple was sold in Ernakulam district.  

The arrangements are all done keeping in mind the Corona Lockdown Protocols and Social Distancing. There are arrangements for the pineapples to be delivered at the doorstep of your colony provided you need to order at least 100 kg for one colony. This is an effective way of marketing with the help of residents association flat owners and other voluntary groups who are ensuring that the pineapples are distributed by following the procedures as mentioned. 

The Pineapples are sold at Rs20 per Kg for 100 kg. Those who wish to avail the services can use the QR code link to make the order which will be delivered within two days of the request and payment.
