The Chief Minister stated that the administration was inspired to install the sculptures by the people, and that more emphasis has been placed on the development of irrigation in this area. All outstanding projects in the UKP-third stage have been finished."
Speaking after unveiling statues of Kittur Rani Chennamma, Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna, and Dr BR Ambedkar in the premises of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha here on Tuesday, he said that a provision has been made in this year's budget to establish the Kittur Karnataka Development Authority, which will decide on various big projects and the special funds required for development, as well as work out a plan of action.
"Kittur Karnataka is well-known for agriculture, irrigation, agriculture-related industries, sugar mills, and other companies, as well as education. By coordinated efforts, this rich region must receive its fair share of development such as infrastructure, national highways, and railways," he stated.
Attempts had been taken in the previous 7-8 years to provide farmers with a uniform price, and the government opted to make payments by cheque. The Kalasa-Bandura project's DPR is complete, and tenders have been issued. They plan to launch the project in the following days.
"The FMCG has been begun on 300 acres of land between Kittur and Dharwad, and this has generated work for one lakh people," he said.
"The Special Investment Zone has been established, as have Jayadeva Hospital in Dharwad and Kidwai Hospital in Belagavi. Kittur Karnataka's development in the coming days would contribute to the prosperity of Karnataka and the country," Bommai stated.
