ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) has invited applications to attend Interview (in-person or online by video conferencing) for the below posts under DBT funded network project Mainstreaming rice landraces diversity in varietal development through genome- wide association studies. Central Government Jobs: Eligibility Criteria
1. Post Name- Research Associate III (Bioinformatics)
Essential qualification: Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology/ Plant breeding/ Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences / Bioinformatics or related subjects.
Desirable Qualification: At least two years of research experience in working with various bioinformatics pipelines in Linux environment, statistical analysis and analysis of high throughput SNP genotyping data, re-sequencing and transcriptomic data.
2. Post Name- Research Associate III (Database, website and mobile app)
Essential Qualification: The applicant must have a Post-Graduation in Computer Science or Computer Application with 60% marks or equivalent. Each degree and diploma should be from a UGC recognized university.
A minimum of two years of research experience in the area of database & application development with evidences in the form of research papers, databases, tools, etc. is required.
Desirable Qualification: Expertise of system administration, networking and security administration. Experience in mobile app development in android and ios.
3. Post Name- Project Associate-I (NBPGR & DBT)
Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Agriculture/ Botany/ Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences or related subjects with specialization in Bio-informatics/Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification: Interested applicant must be an Experience in Molecular Biology/ Plant Pathology or bioinformatics analysis.
4. Post Name- Scientific administrative assistant/ Field worker
Essential qualification: Eligible applicant must have a graduate degree in any discipline.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Microsoft office.
