Latest Update on KVS Admission 2019: Third Merit List for Class 1 Likely to Release Today

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will be releasing the 3rd merit list of provisionally selected students for admission to Class 1 on April 23, 2019, on its official website - kvsangathan.nic.in. or kvsadmissiononline.in.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will be releasing the 3rd merit list of provisionally selected students for admission to Class 1 on April 23, 2019, on its official website - kvsangathan.nic.in. or kvsadmissiononline.in. The first list was released on 26th March and the second merit list on 9th April.

What are the criteria for selecting students?

More than six lakh students have applied for around one lakh seats this year. And there are 1,137 Kendriya Vidyalayas or schools across the country. Hence the students will be shortlisted according to the priority category. Since the admission process is completely online, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will release the merit list on time therefore parents must keep checking the website.

What are the documents required for KVS Admission 2019?

Here are the lists of documents that will be required for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas:

1. Self-attested downloaded registration form with a latest passport size photograph of the candidate pasted on it.

2. Original Date of Birth (DOB) certificate for verification.

3. Original OBC/SC/ST certificate for verification.

4. Transfer certificate (if relevant).

5. Self-attested photocopies of the following documents:

Certificate of Date of Birth

Residence/Address Proof

Service Proof of parents

Latest Pay Slip of parents

Caste certificate in the name of child

Disability certificate of child

How to check KVS Admission Merit List?

In order to check the merit list for admission in class 1, you will have to go to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan website - kvsangathan.nic.in. There you will find a blinking link at the homepage under the admission section. Just click on it and check your child’s name in it. On the other hand, to check the shortlisted candidates list for classes 2 and above, you will have to go to the particular KV website, where you are seeking admission. 

It is important to mention that the admission process for class 2 and above is still going on at the respective Kendriya Vidyalayas. The registration process for admission to class 2 to class 11 ended on 20th April 2019. Parents or guardians must note that all admission related formalities must be completed till 30 April 2019.

In 2018, a total of 6, 48,941 students had applied for around one lakh seats.
