The price of domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi, Mumbai, and other cities has been hiked by Rs.50, the first hike since October 6, 2021. According to the announcement made by OMCs, the price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidized domestic LPG cylinder in the national capital has increased from Rs.899.50 to Rs.949.5.
In Chennai, the cooking gas will cost Rs.965.50 and in Lucknow, it will set you back by Rs.987.50.
This comes after the price of petrol and diesel was raised by 80 paise/liter for the first time since November 2021.

The 19-kg commercial cylinder now costs Rs.2003.50. LPG Cylinder rate is revised monthly for all the states and union territories in India.
While LPG prices were last revised on October 6, petrol and diesel prices have been on a freeze since November 4 ahead of assembly elections in states such as Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
Prices have been on a freeze since then despite the cost of raw material spiralling. International oil prices were around USD 81-82 a barrel in early November as against USD 114 now.
According to an official report, a 5 kg of LPG cylinder would now cost Rs.349, while a 10 kg composite bottle will cost Rs.669.
This hike has come after 137 days and a liter of petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs.96.21 and diesel will be sold at Rs.87.47 rupees.
Earlier, diesel prices for bulk consumers have also been raised by around Rs.25 per liter following a 40% increase in worldwide oil prices due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
