Joshi will join Tech Mahindra from Infosys, where he served as President. Earlier on Saturday, Infosys announced Mohit Joshi's resignation in a regulatory filing on the BSE. "He will be on leave effective March 11, 2023, with his last date with the company being June 9, 2023," the filing stated.

Joshi oversaw the Global Financial Services & Healthcare and Software businesses at Infosys, which included Finacle (the banking platform) and the AI / Automation portfolio. He also oversaw Infosys' Sales Operations and Transformation, as well as executive responsibility for all large deals across the company. He was also in charge of the company's internal CIO function as well as the Infosys Knowledge Institute.

Joshi has over two decades of experience in the Enterprise technology software and consulting space, having worked with the biggest companies worldwide to drive digital transformation and create thriving businesses. Joshi has been a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc since 2020, and he serves on the company's Risk & Governance and Nomination committees.

Joshi joined the World Economic Forum's prestigious Young Global Leaders programme in 2014, and he is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Mohit has previously served as the CBI's Vice Chair of the Economic Growth Board (Confederation of British Industry).

Prior to joining Infosys in 2000, Joshi worked in the Corporate and Investment banking divisions of ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays. Joshi has lived and worked in Asia, America, and Europe, and he currently resides in London with his wife and two daughters.

"Mohit's appointment is the successful outcome of a rigorous selection process during which the NRC assessed a number of internal and external candidates," said T. N. Manoharan, Chairperson of the Tech Mahindra NRC. Mohit's experience with digital transformation, new technologies, and large deals will complement Tech Mahindra's strategies and help the company maintain its strong growth momentum".

"Tech Mahindra's growth journey has been remarkable," said Mohit Joshi in a statement. "I am thrilled to be joining the Tech Mahindra family and look forward to collaborating with all of the associates, partners, and customers to reach new heights, make a positive difference, and #Risetogether."
