The increased milk prices will be in effect from today onwards. Baroda Dairy has decided not to increase the prices of two milk variants for retail consumers;i.e. Amul Shakti and Amul Gold. While the dairy has increased the price of Amul Gold for restaurants, hotels, and catering segments.

In the above-mentioned segments, 5-liter milk will cost Rs.300. Earlier, the price of the same was Rs.290. On the other hand, the price of a 6-liter packet is now Rs.273.

Earlier, it was being sold at Rs.250. The people in Baroda were already buying a 1-liter packet of Amul Gold at the price of Rs.60, which is the same as for the people in Ahmedabad and Saurashtra.

The vice-chairman of Baroda Diary, GB Solanki stated, “we have consciously decided not to increase the price of Amul Gold and Shakti keeping in mind both the interest of consumers and milk producers."
