Red Alert for the Fraud Seed Firms

It's really hard to trust the companies and the firms nowadays as they all are expanding their business with just one purpose, which is just to gain profit even if it's coming with the harm for some innocents, the exact situation is happening in this country and the frauds are just growing and manipulating the innocent farmers. Keeping this serious concern in action recently been conducted special raids on seed companies by the Legal Metrology Department of Hyderabad have registered 154 cases against seed and fertilizer companies as they were violating the rules and the regulations including supplying seeds with expiry dates and fraud on weights. Keeping this serious concern in action recently been conducted special raids on seed companies by the Legal Metrology Department of Hyderabad have registered 154 cases against seed and fertilizer companies as they were violating the rules and the regulations including supplying seeds with expiry dates and fraud on weights.

About Rs, 2.35 crore worth of seeds were seized and penalties were levied. Officials during the checks found out that some of the companies were running without any legal permit and were resorting to frauds in weights of the goods being sold. The highest number of cases (28) was registered in Nizamabad district.

Akun Sabharwal, Legal Metrology Controller said in a release that "the department laid special focus on seeds and fertilizer manufacturers, apart from traders, to prevent them from cheating farmers. We will not spare anyone who is found guilty of violating rules and cheating farmers. Strict action, including criminal cases, will be booked and arrests will be made in future,”

In keeping a view of coming Kharif season Controller ordered officials to keep more focus on the seed company’s violations and continue the checking and raids on the companies and traders. If any farmer found any violation or fraud by the companies he requested them to pass on the information on the Whats App number 7330774444 immediately, Sabharwal added.
