Red Ladyfinger, Kadaknath Cock, One-Meter Bottle Gourd Attracts Crowd at Rashtriya Krishi Uday 2019 in Jabalpur

Rashtriya Krishi Uday 2019 began on Monday (14th October) at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and will continue till 16th October 2019.

Rashtriya Krishi Uday 2019 began on Monday (14th October) at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and will continue till 16th October 2019.  

Rashtriya Krishi Uday is said to be an ideal fair for the farmers, exporters & importers of India so as to follow the latest techniques and know about modern improved machineries used in the agriculture sector. The fair occupies a huge area to display even the field operation on agricultural activities like seeding equipments, seed cleaning equipments, modern harvesting machineries, tractors, various operations like land leveling, irrigation, sowing & planting, harvesting & threshing with high degree of precession to boost efficiency of inputs & reduce the losses.

The centre of attraction of this year’s exhibition has been organic ladyfingers, wild ladyfingers, red ladyfingers and one meter bottle gourd as well as drones displayed by the students of Jabalpur University. The black colored Kadaknath cock whose blood is also black in colour also attracted the crowd.

A number of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) from different parts of Madhya Pradesh have put up their stalls at Rashtriya Krishi Uday 2019. Companies like John Dheere, Mahindra, BKT and Sonalika also participated in the fair.

On the second day of the fair, a farmer seminar has been organized wherein cultivators emphasized on increasing production and discussed the effects of climate change on agriculture. Thousands of farmers from all across MP and neighboring states attended the exhibition.
