This year, we will be celebrating 71st Republic Day and people from all across the country and will gather at the Rajpath to witness the celebration. Last year on Republic Day, ICAR, an apex agri-research institute of India, displayed tableau on 'Kisan Gandhi' at Republic day parade, and bagged the first prize, filling the farmer community with a sense of great pride. Main Attractions: R-Day Parade, Daredevil Stunts & Much More!

This year, Brazilian president Jair Messias Bolsonaro is going to be the Chief Guest from January 24 to 27.  A former army captain, Bolsonaro won the presidential election in October 2018.  Bolsonaro cares about the environment to a great extent and is also a powerful supporter of agribusiness.

One of the main attractions of R-Day is the Republic Day parade, organized by the Ministry of Defence. Commencing from the gates of Rashtrapati Bhawan, along the Rajpath until the India Gate, this parade takes place, filling every Indian with a sense of nationalism.

This year, one of the biggest attractions of the parade is going to be CRPF women bikers.  The troop of CRPF women bikers will showcase their courage by performing adventurous stunts on multiple motorcycles. They will show nine heroic acts as they form a human pyramid on motorbikes. As per sources, Seema Nag, who is posted with Rapid Action Fire (RAF) is going to command the troop of these daredevil women bikers. CRPF trainers have selected the members of the squad who will perform daredevil stunts on motorcycles. This would be the first time when women bikers team will demonstrate acrobatic expertise at Rajpath on January 26.

The tickets are in the range of Rs. 20 to Rs. 500, depending upon the distance. So, a farmer can easily afford the tickets, even for his entire family!

As you buy the ticket early, you could grab seats in the initial rows.

Republic day parade tickets are available at the counters in between 10 am-12.30 pm and 2 pm-4.30 tickets and can be purchased from here:

  • Pragati Maidan (Gate 1 at Bhairon Road)

  • Sena Bhawan (Gate 2)

  • North Block Roundabout

  • Jantar Mantar (Main Gate)

  • Jamnagar House (Opposite India Gate)

  • Shastri Bhawan (near Gate 3)

  • Parliament House Reception Office

  • Red Fort (Opposite Jain Temple, inside August 15 Park)

Do not forget to carry your voter ID card, Aadhaar card or any government-issued ID card while purchasing the ticket!
