SBI Customers ALERT! Do This Before 30 June or Your Banking Services Will Be Stopped

SBI, India's largest lender has issued an important notification asking its customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar card before 30th June in order to avoid any inconvenience in future.

State Bank of India, India's largest lender has issued an important notification asking its customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar card before 30th June in order to avoid any inconvenience in future.

In a tweet it said, "We advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience & continue enjoying a seamless banking service".

SBI said that linking of PAN with Aadhaar is compulsory and if PAN & Aadhaar are not linked, then the PAN would be rendered inactive, which means that SBI account holders will not be able to quote PAN number for conducting specified transactions.

The last date to link your PAN with Aadhaar is 30th June 2021.

In order to link PAN with Aadhaar, you will have to login to - www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Then click on the 'Link Aadhaar' link.

SBI Customers: How to link PAN with Aadhaar Card

Step 1 - Go to the official website of income tax - incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

Step 2 – Then register yourself. Your PAN will be your user ID.

Step 3 – Now log in by using your User ID, password & date of birth

Step 4 - A new window will appear on the screen. If by chance the window does not appear then go to ‘Profile Settings’ on Menu bar & click ‘Link Aadhaar’

Step 5 - Details like name, gender, date of birth will already be mentioned as per PAN details

Step 6 – Now you have to verify the PAN details on screen with the ones given on your Aadhaar.

Step 7 - If all details are same, enter your Aadhaar number & click the “link now” button

Step 8 - A message will come on the screen saying that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked to PAN

Note – This information is for all those people from the farming/rural community who have account in SBI.
