SOS Children's Villages India, a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to childcare, demonstrated its commitment to cleanliness and sanitation by organising, a cleanliness drive across its various locations nationwide, in commemoration of the ninth
anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, initiated in 2014.

Sumanta Kar, CEO of SOS Children's Villages India, expressed his delight at the event, stating, "As an organization, we recognize the paramount importance of hygiene and cleanliness for children, as they are the future guardians of our planet. Instilling the values of
cleanliness and hygiene from a young age not only ensures their physical well-being but also shapes them into resilient individuals, enabling them to grow into their strongest selves. By emphasizing the significance of cleanliness, SOS Children's Villages India is not just fostering
a healthy present for these children but also nurturing a generation that will protect our environment and lead the way towards a sustainable future."

In line with the mission's campaign objective to amplify the message of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva‘ and promote the theme of a ‘Garbage Free India‘, SOS India actively engaged in Shramdaan for Swachhata, where programme participants, caregivers, and co-workers joined forces to clean public spaces and raise awareness about the critical importance of hygiene and sanitation.
