Union Minister of Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, chaired a comprehensive review meeting on June 13, 2024. The session focused on discussing the various activities, initiatives, and implementation strategies of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The meeting was also attended by Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel.

Secretary of the Ministry, Vivek Bharadwaj, provided an extensive overview of the Ministry's initiatives and efforts. Senior officials, including Additional Secretary Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kumar, Joint Secretaries Alok Prem Nagar, Vikas Anand, and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor Tanuja Thakur Khalkho, Economic Advisor Dr. Bijaya Kumar Behera, and Chief Controller of Accounts Akhilesh Jha, were present at the briefing.

The meeting involved a close review of the current status of all schemes and a detailed discussion on future action plans. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh highlighted the importance of collective efforts to ensure that the Government of India's initiatives have a transformative impact at the grassroots level. He expressed confidence in achieving the targeted objectives in line with the Prime Minister's Viksit Bharat vision through coordinated efforts.

Leveraging Technology for Efficiency

Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, highlighted the significance of using digital technology and app-based real-time monitoring. He suggested these tools be employed to enhance transparency and efficiency in Panchayati Raj Institutions, ensuring proper implementation of schemes and service delivery.

The meeting concluded with Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh providing specific instructions and suggestions for the timely implementation of all schemes. The emphasis was on achieving significant and measurable impacts across rural areas through the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders.
