  • 12 Cr Farmers have benefitted from PM-Kisan Scheme So Far

    Vice President of BJP, Radha Mohan Singh said that around 12 Crore farmers have benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana & 2.5 crores of them are from Uttar Pradesh. A total of Rs 1.60 lakh crore has been spent on the PM-Kisan scheme.

  • Centre Releases Rs 2, 427 Cr for Urban Local Bodies

    The Central government released Rs 2,427 crore to 11 states for their Urban Local Bodies as the first installment of grants for the current fiscal to be used in the centrally sponsored projects. The Finance Ministry said that the grant goes to cities & towns with less than 1 million populations. The Urban Local Bodies are divided into 2 categories–million-plus urban agglomerations or cities & all the other cities and towns with less than 1 million populations referred to as non-million plus cities.

     

  • IIT Researcher Develops Device Which Generates Electricity from Raindrops

    The researchers of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi have designed the device, which can generate electricity from water drops, water streams, raindrops & even from the ocean waves using the “triboelectric effect” & “electrostatic induction”. The electricity generated by this device is called “Liquid-solid Interface Triboelectric Nanogenerator” can be stored in the batteries for further use.

     

  • PAN-Aadhar Linkage Date Extends to March 2022

    The government has extended the due date for intimating the Aadhar number to the Income Tax Department for linking this with Permanent Account Number to 31st March 2022 from 30th September. The Central Board of Direct Taxes said that the move was in continuation of the commitment to address the hardship faced by the stakeholder on an account of the Covid-19 pandemic. The CBDT received the representations seeking the extra time for PAN- Aadhar Linkage.
