These 7 States To Receive More Rains, Severe Cold To Continue
On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted further severe rains in various states, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, in the coming days. Meanwhile, the national capital will continue to have frigid days for two more days, after which temperatures are expected to rise a few degrees. Isolated/scattered rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and north Rajasthan on January 21, followed by broad to widespread rainfall throughout the region on January 22-23. Apple Export of India Ups 82% Since 2014
According to figures from the commerce ministry, India's apple exports have climbed by 82 percent since 2014, while fruit imports have increased by 3.8 percent. Increased exports are assisting growers in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in pushing outbound shipments to new destinations throughout the world. Exports increased to USD 14.45 million in 2020-21 from USD 8.6 million in 2014-15, according to the data. Apple exports totalled USD 12.25 million from April to November this fiscal year, suggesting steady growth over the years.

Rice Traders of India, Stops New Export Deals
According to industry officials, over a third of India's rice exports for this month are stalled due to a freight train shortage, and most traders have avoided signing February export contracts to avoid demurrage penalties. Due to a slowdown in India's rice exports, competing suppliers such as Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam have been able to increase global sales at higher prices. Due to the slowing of exports, the Indian government may be forced to expand its procurement from farmers.

Indian Textile Exports Can Hit 65 billion, If Industry Takes Right Steps, Says Report
According to a joint report by global consulting company Kearney and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Indian textile exports might reach $65 billion if industry majors take the required steps and government programs are properly implemented. Exports fell by 3% from 2015 to 2019 and by 18.7% in 2020, according to the research, which also noted that other low-cost countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam gained market share during the same time period.
