  • Delhi to Receive Moderate Rainfall from 26 to 29 July: Weather Officials

    Several parts of Delhi received light rainfall on Friday and the weekend is likely to witness similar conditions with patchy clouds in the sky, according to weather officials. The weather experts also issued separate warning for north & northeast India from the beginning of next week. Delhi is also likely to receive moderate rainfall in this period - from 26th to 29th July.

  • Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan tests positive for Covid-19

    MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Saturday became the first CM of India to test positive for the coronavirus. He will be admitted to Chirayu hospital in capital city Bhopal. As per report, MP Chief Minister disclosed the news on Twitter after Cabinet Minister Arvind Bhadoria tested positive for the disease. Bhadoria had attended a Cabinet meeting and had travelled with the CM to Lucknow to attend the funeral of Governor Lalji Tendor earlier this week, says media reports.

  • Significant number of ISIS terrorists in Kerala, Karnataka, says UN reports

    Amid the corona crisis across the country, a UN report on terrorism has warned that there are “significant numbers” of ISIS terrorists in Kerala and Karnataka, noting that the al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent terror group, which reportedly has between 150 and 200 militants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar, is planning attacks in the region.

  • Assam-Bihar Flood Fury: Nearly 37 lakh Affected; Death Toll Rises to 93

    The flood situation in Assam has further deteriorated on Thursday which claims four more persons losing their lives, taking the death toll to 93. According to reports, the number of people affected rose to 28.32 lakh across 26 districts.

    According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) reports, at least 123 wild animals have died in floods and 150 have been rescued so far, even as 92 per cent of the 430 sq km, world-famous Kaziranga National Park, home to more than 2,200 one-horned Indian rhinoceros, remained inundated.
