    On Friday, the OMCs held their diesel and petrol rates steady for the fifth day in a row. On Saturday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a drop in excise duty on petrol of 8 rupees per liter and diesel of 6 rupees per liter. Today's petrol price in Delhi is Rs 96.72 per liter, down from Rs 105.41 per liter last week, while diesel will cost Rs 89.62 per liter, down from Rs 96.67 last week.
