  • Union Agri Minister Chairs Meeting of UTs for Comprehensive Agriculture Development

    A conference of these centrally managed territories was held today in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar with the goal of complete development of the agriculture sector in the Union Territories. Tomar stated in his opening remarks that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working tirelessly via various plans and programmes for the country's overall development. It must be assured that these initiatives are fully implemented in the Union Territories as well, and that all farmers there benefit from social programmes.

     

  • Narendra Singh Tomar Launches ‘Millets Experience Centre’ at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi

    Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, and Rajbir Singh, Managing Director, NAFED, celebrated the launch of the first-ever ‘Millets Experience Centre’ today at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi. The purpose of the Millets Experience Centre, founded by NAFED and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW), is to enhance public awareness about millets and encourage their utilization.

     

  • DAHD & VCI Join Hands to Celebrate World Veterinary Day 2023 Tomorrow

    The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, in conjunction with the Veterinary Council of India, will be commemorating World Veterinary Day on April 29th, 2023, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. This event aims to acknowledge and honor the significant contributions made by veterinarians in animal and human health and welfare, food safety and quality, ecology, drugs and pharmaceutical development, biomedical research, rural development, education and training, policymaking, economic growth through livestock production and management, wildlife conservation, and protection of the environment and biodiversity. 

     

     

  • Andhra Agri Minister Urges Farmers to Use Biofertilizer to Improve Yields

    Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy paid a visit to the Biofertilizer and Organic Fertilizer Quality Control Laboratory in Nellore on April 26. During his visit, he encouraged farmers to adopt sustainable practices by using high-quality biofertilizers to enhance crop yields. Furthermore, Reddy inaugurated the state-of-the-art laboratory, which is the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh. Minister Reddy expressed his satisfaction with the support provided by the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government, stating that farmers are pleased with the initiatives taken by the government.

     

  • GCCI Partners with Dutch University To Boost Agriculture In Both Nations

    The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has chosen to collaborate with HAS University in the Netherlands to advance agriculture in both nations. Additionally, the Netherlands is eager to share its technical know-how with Goa regarding waste management, sustainable development goals, and climate change. Ralph de Sousa, president of the GCCI, and other GCCI representatives were met by a delegation led by the deputy consul general of the Netherlands, Thierry Van Helden.
