Tomar stated in his opening remarks that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working tirelessly via various plans and programmes for the country's overall development. It must be assured that these initiatives are fully implemented in the Union Territories as well, and that all farmers there benefit from social programmes.

Work should be completed by identifying compatibility in adversity. Tomar stated that the Government of India's goal is to properly develop Union Territories. Prime Minister Modi's goal is for the benefits of the Central Government's programmes to reach the last person, which is why Union Ministers and other high officials visit border communities.

According to Prime Minister Modi, the village on the border is not the last, but the first village in our country. Assuming this, we must work to ensure their development. The states have taken the Prime Minister's call very seriously.

Tomar stated that he had recently returned from Ladakh, where there is ample electricity supply to the border communities and where, thanks to the Jal Jeevan Mission, every household has access to running water. The ideal of reaching the last person with the light of progress is becoming a reality as a consequence of Prime Minister Modi's devotion and broad thinking.

According to Tomar, the Union Territories and the Central Government complement one another. In these areas, too, the way to development should be established by resolving problems via mutual communication and adaptability.

He stated that our agriculture sector is very important and vast, and that the number of small farmers is also significant, but that there is sufficient adaptability to work. The Central Government has no shortage of projects and funding; nonetheless, the programmes must be fully implemented. Tomar stated that all eligible farmers, herders, and fishers should be eligible for the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, and other government programmes.

So far, around 2.5 lakh crore rupees have been credited to the accounts of crores of farmers under PM Kisan. Crops grown there should be promoted, and these regions, along with other states, should be at the forefront of growth. The standard of living of the Union Territories' small farmers should likewise improve.

Union Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja, as well as authorities from Union Territories, spoke at the meeting. The meeting was attended by officials from Agriculture and other Central Ministries, as well as representatives from relevant Central/State Institutions.
