  • J&K Agriculture Dept Conducts Successful Trials of Shiitake Mushroom Cultivation

    The agriculture department of Jammu and Kashmir has successfully completed field trials of Shiitake mushroom cultivation, one of the most expensive mushrooms. Shiitake mushroom (Lentinus edodes), a type of edible fungus native to Japan and China, contains lentinan, a chemical that some medical professionals use to boost the immune system, according to officials. "We have completed successful trials of this mushroom variety. It's a significant accomplishment for us," said Agriculture Department Director K K Sharma. Sharma stated that the department conducted two successful field trials in the climatic conditions of Jammu.

Metal engraving, Chikan hand embroidery, Khurja Blue Pottery, Mata Ni Pachedi Kalamkari, Bandhani, Tie & Dye, Hand Block Bagh Print, Warli Art, Stone Dust Painting, Sozni Hand Embroidery, Terracotta, Tanjore Painting, Sholapith, Kantha Hand Embroidery, Palm leaf Engraving, Brass wire inlay on wood, Wood Tarkashi, Madhubani Painting, Gold Leaf Painting, straw The prize money is Rs.1.00 lakh, along with a Tamrapatra, a Shawl, and a certificate. 

  • Over 1 Lakh Farmers to Receive Agricultural Loans, 3 Lakh to Join Cooperatives

    While addressing managing directors of Central Cooperative Banks at Apex Bank Auditorium in Jaipur on Monday, Principal secretary (cooperatives) Shreya Guha stated that by March 2023, 1.29 lakh new farmers will receive crop loans totaling Rs 233 crore, and 3.71 lakh new farmers will join cooperative societies and be connected to agricultural loans. At the meet, she also instructed the Apex Bank's managing director to hold a weekly review of distribution of crop loans as well as the new farmer members associated with the co-cooperative societies.

  • Rajasthan Govt Launches Online Land Registration Portal for PM Kusum Yojana

    Saur Krishi Ajivika Yojna plans to use Rajasthan's abundant land resources by allowing farmers and landowners to lease out their barren or underutilized land for solar project development on a predetermined lease basis. Distribution companies (DISCOMs) in the state have created a dedicated online portal where farmers can register their land to be leased out for solar projects. Project developers can also register on the portal to reach out to registered farmers.
