  • Agriculture Minister to Visit Israel Next Week

    Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will visit Israel from May 8 to 11, for bilateral meetings and to discuss a variety of farm-related problems. At the request of Israel's Minister of Agriculture, Oded Forer, a delegation led by Tomar will visit Israel from May 8 to 11, 2022, for bilateral discussions to discuss various agricultural issues between both the two countries.

  • Agriculture Production Department (APD) Formed in Jammu and Kashmir

    The Agriculture Production Department (APD) was formed on Saturday by merging three existing line departments: the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, the Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, and the Horticulture Department.  The government said that the restructure of line departments was aimed at doubling the farm income of farmers, orchardists, and those who make up 70% of the population and rely on cattle, sheep, and fisheries for a living.

Q4 FY22 EBITDA grew by 26% YoY to INR 3,591 crore as against INR 2,839 crore in Q4 FY21. Commenting on the performance, Jai Shroff, CEO of UPL Ltd., said “FY22 was a year of challenging macro-environment, input cost inflationary pressures and supply chain disruptions and we chose to prudently invest towards ensuring reliable growth going forward.”
