The day-long training and awareness workshop on 'cultivation, processing, value addition, and marketing of aromatic crops' was held by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) Jammu, according to authorities.

According to them, 100 farmers from various villages in the Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts took part in the awareness programme.

Col Rajat Parmar, the Commanding Officer of the Bhaderwah-based 4-Rashtriya Rifles, who was the chief guest, praised the efforts from CSIR-IIIM and encouraged the unemployed youth of the region to take advantage of the Aroma Mission's opportunities.

He assured that the Army will provide all essential assistance to the farmers and unemployed youngsters of Bhadarwah.
