India is an agrarian country with 118.7 million farmers where more than half of its population depends upon agriculture as their primary source of income. Moreover, with the production of agriculture activity of $375.61 billion, India is the 2nd largest producer of agriculture product with 7.39 percent of total global agriculture output after China. However, farmers hardly get their recognition and reward for their hard work and can’t even get their investment back. A large number of farmer’s population still needs to depends on middle man and markets which the main reason is behind half of the problems of farmers.
And moreover, Covid-19 pandemic has made the situation even worse and shaken the global agriculture market. Farmers and workers have been suffering the most from the crisis but however, it also show us the potential of an agriculture field in the future dimension of our economy.
