Since, MS Dhoni also cultivates this breed of chicken, everyone wants to know what is so special about it? Well, Kadaknath chicken is in great demand due to its due to its health benefits. The specialty of its meat is that it is also found to be low in fat and cholesterol, due to which this chicken is considered very beneficial for heart and diabetes patients.

Get Government Aid for Kadaknath Business: 

Government of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is running many schemes to promote Kadaknath chicken farming. In Chhattisgarh, on depositing Rs 53,000, one thousand chicks, 30 chicken sheds and feed for six months are given free of cost by the government in three installments. At the same time, the government also bears the responsibility of vaccination and other health care. Not only this, when the chickens grow up, the government also assists in the marketing work.  

If you want to rear Kadaknath chicken, then you can take chicks from Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Some farmers take 15 days old chick while some people take one day chick. Kadaknath chick becomes ready for sale within three and a half to four months.
